how to host a lily pairings party
One of our favorite ways to entertain is by hosting a pairings party. We sample our teas with many other foods to find fun and unique pairings. When done well, a pairing will elevate individual flavors into a harmonious choir.
Delicate teas, like our Lily Golden Oolong, require a delicate pairing. Here we've paired Contralto, a goat gouda from Andante Dairy, and dried apricots. While this particular cheese is exceptionally mild and creamy with just a hint of tang, any goat brie will do the trick . When in season, sub in fresh apricots or peaches. The floral notes in these fruits strike the same chord as the magnolia perfume of our oolong.
candy pairing with sugarfina
We. Love. Candy. Many of our favorites are from Sugarfina, a chic candy boutique and online shop. We value the same things: exceptional ingredients, gorgeously giftable packaging, and of course, great taste! The Rosé All Day Bears are perfect when paired with our Lily Golden Oolong Tea. Fruity notes linger on the palate, ending in a sweet finish. Sante!
tea infused simple syrup
An easy way to upgrade a cocktail or mocktail is with a tea infused simple syrup. Try adding a dash to champagne, sparkling water, or lemonade. You can even pour a drizzle on ice cream or pancakes!
YOU’LL NEED:
1 cup filtered water
4 tbsp loose leaf tea
1 cup sugar
HOW TO:
heat water on the stove to 195° F (note: water temperature will vary based on the tea you’re using. here the temperature is for our Lily golden oolong)
remove water from heat and add 4 tbsp tea, steeping for 5 minutes
strain tea leaves (note: you can save oolong leaves and re-steep up to 7 times!)
return tea concentrate to stove and bring to a low simmer
stir in sugar until completely dissolved
remove from heat and cool to room temperature
store in an air tight jar in the refrigerator for up to a week
lily champagne cocktail

top with champagne
garnish with fresh raspberries or cotton candy for a whimsical touch
